Revolution Church was established in September 2011 after Nick and Lisa Russell moved from Victoria, BC with a vision to church plant in the Greater Vancouver region. Together with their friends and with much prayer, Revolution Church has moved from a small house meeting to a thriving West Vancouver community church.

From the beginnings of Revolution Church, it has been our desire to see God build His church and to partner with Him in establishing His will and plan here in West Vancouver (“Unless the Lord builds the church, the builders labour in vain.” Psalm 127). What does this mean? To us it means sticking close to the blueprint God has provided us in His word, staying tight with Holy Spirit and doing what He directs, and paying close attention to the people that He draws together for His purposes. This has been a great privilege and a great challenge. There are times when we get it right and times when we get it wrong. But underlying it all is a deep desire to honour God and to treat His church and His children with great respect and care.

In the process of living and building church biblically and being intentional with our faith and calling, we have seen God do amazing things. God has brought a stunning group of people together, all with gifts and talents hand-picked by God. What a privilege to see talented musicians and worshippers, people with gifts of healing and prophecy, hearts to see revival, evangelists and prayer warriors, women and men with vision for children’s ministry and service, preachers and teachers all coming together for a purpose. We all get to be part of this! To worship passionately, to experience God’s manifest presence, and to see revival personally, in our families and beyond!

Revolution Church gathers individuals and families from West Vancouver and the Northshore, Lion’s Bay and Squamish, downtown Vancouver and into the Tri-Cities. We are families with babies to teenagers, we are singles and young adults, and we are grandparents. We are a small local church community with a big heart for our city.

We also have a strong international connection, relating to and connecting with thousands of like-minded churches around the world through New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI). Through an international apostolic prophetic team, we regularly receive encouragement, impartation, and accountability so that the vision and people of Revolution Church can grow and flourish.

We think Revolution Church is a church where you will feel loved and accepted wherever you are at in your life journey. You will also be encouraged to be more, to press on, to overcome and to be free in Jesus. We believe in the transforming power of the Good News of Jesus Christ. We believe that miracles still happen and that we are all called to live purposeful, abundant, and satisfying lives.
