Sunday Service

COME AS YOU ARE

There is no dress code or membership required. Come as you are and you will see that we are just a bunch of people who want to meet with God in a real way. Our desire is to be a community where people are comfortable to be themselves; to find and worship God freely and authentically.

Our Sunday Service events are usually as follows:

  • Pre-service Prayer (9:40 – 9:55)
  • Family Worship and Communion (10:00 – 10:50)
  • Announcements
  • Preaching and Teaching Time; Sunday School for Children ages 2-14 (10:50 – 11:30)
  • Coffee and Snacks
PRE-SERVICE PRAYER

Pre-service prayer is from 9:40 – 9:55am for those who wish to prepare their hearts ahead of worship and contribute prophetically and prayerfully to the morning meeting.

WORSHIP AND PRAYER

At Revolution Church we make lots of room for praise and worship. We are blessed to have a number of talented spirit-filled worship leaders who are gifted in creating an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit is welcome and people are encouraged to worship authentically and freely. Sometimes to give the musicians a break, we will have a YouTube worship session.

Often there will be spontaneous prayer or sharing during the worship time. We encourage people to grow in the gifts that God has given them and to express those gifts during this time.

COMMUNION

Every Sunday we honour Jesus and remember what He has done for us by observing communion together. Sometimes communion is offered during the worship time and each individual and family can participate as they are led, and other times, we stop and hand out the bread and juice so that we can take it together. Children are also welcome to partake in communion.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Children are encouraged to be with their parents during the worship part of the service but, during the teaching, children from ages 2 to 14 are invited to be part of the children’s church where they learn how to pray, recognize and listen to God’s voice, and participate in bible stories and crafts. After the service there is plenty of time to play while the adults enjoy coffee and tea.

PREACHING TIME

We regularly preach and teach from God’s word, the Bible. We believe that the Bible is as vital and relevant now as it has ever been. We are convinced that faith in the word of God has the power to save, set free, and equip every person with purpose and success. Because of this, we delight to proclaim God’s word in our meetings and regularly teach from its books. Nick and Jeb (the pastors) usually preach; but it is also common for a member of the congregation or a visiting minister to speak.

In the past, we’ve been blessed by having guest speakers like the following join us:

  • Steve and Debra Sudworth (Church in the City, Chicago)
  • Ivor and Jakki Lewis (New Covenant Ministrires)
  • Kenny and Maureen LeRoux (Church planters from South Africa)
  • Ken and Michelle Grenfell (Pastors from Leesburg, Virginia)
PERSONAL PRAYER AND HEALING

At the end of every service, we offer personal prayer for any area of need and in particular, for healing. We have seen many answers to prayer in our times together and many testimonies of emotional and physical healing. No request is too small or too great for our loving Father in Heaven.

GIVING AND OFFERING

There is no offering taken during the service and no obligation to give. For those who wish to contribute with tithes and offerings to the church, there are envelopes and a box at the back of the church to put your gift. Email transfers are also accepted and can be emailed to info@revolutionvancouver.com.

COFFEE AND TREATS

After the service, we gather for coffee and treats in the same room that we have our Sunday service, off to the side. You can expect something yummy to eat and good conversation to go with it.
