Ladies Christmas Tea & Cookie Exchange

Lisa Russell

Hey Ladies. Christmas is such a busy time of year. There’s the cleaning, the decorating, the shopping, the hosting, and don’t forget the baking! This year, combine the baking with a moment to step away from the busyness of Christmas and have a relaxing cup of tea with other women in a beautiful Christmassy space. Here is how it works: Bake one set of your favourite Christmas cookies (6 dozen to be exact). And then divide them into 12 separate packages of 6 cookies each. Bring the packages with you to the Ladies Christmas tea and then exchange them for  12 different varieties of cookies to set before your guests and family. If you don’t want to do any baking at all, you are still welcome to come just for the tea and visiting. Invite a friend and enjoy a moment of Christmas bliss with us Saturday, December 4th from 2pm – 4pm at The Hub, #4-5775 Marine Drive, West Vancouver.

Advent with Revolution Church

Lisa Russell

Starting Sunday, November 28th and during the month of December, Revolution Church invites you to share the wonder  of the  story and person of Jesus Christ. With Christmas songs and carols, scripture reading and preaching, we celebrate the Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love that Jesus brings. These past two years of Covid have been difficult for many. We invite you to be encouraged and uplifted once again. Join us in-person at the Park Royal Cineplex. The service starts at 10am, but come early for coffee, seasonal treats, and conversation at 9:30am.  There is also a Children’s Church service where kids from Pre-School to Grade 7 can enjoy their own advent celebrations. Whether you are a first time visitor or whether you have already been with us for many advent seasons, we look forward to welcoming you and your family.

3 Day Corporate Fast

Lisa Russell

From October 27th to 29th, in preparation for our Breakthrough Sunday on October 31st, we will doing a three day corporate fast together as a church. We invite you and your family (children can participate too), to ask the Holy Spirit in what manner you should fast. Some will choose to abstain from food completely and just drink water, others may choose to fast a meal or two a day, or perhaps fast from media, YouTube and television. Whatever you decide to do, we encourage you to take the time to separate yourself to God and spend some time in prayer for yourself, your family, the church, and the region.
Here are some areas you can pray for breakthrough in:
  • healing
  • provision and finances
  • restoration in relationships
  • freedom and deliverance from oppression, depression, anxiety and fear
  • salvation for those who don’t know Jesus
  • revival, a move of God that breaks open the hearts of the people in the region of West Vancouver and Greater Vancouver.
Come out for Wednesday prayer, October 27th, as we will be praying into the above together. 🙏

Canada Equip July 9 – 11

Lisa Russell

We’re excited to announce the Canada Equip 2021 is happening across our whole great nation from July 9th to 11th 2021. The Equip this year will be made up of a Friday evening & Saturday morning. Revolution Church will celebrate together on Sunday morning in worship at our new venue Park Royal Cineplex theatre.

The NCMI team is so excited to have seen how other global regions have still been able to come together in 2021 and how God has spoken powerfully even through so many limitation. While things won’t be exactly how they’ve been for previous equips, we can’t deny that God is on the move in these times and wanting to raise His church for the mission set out for us.

Over the three days, we will have powerful messages from Tyrone Daniel who leads NCMI, words from other international and Canadian apostolic team members, and local live worship together between sessions.

These July dates have been picked in the hope that some regional restrictions may lift as we enter into summer, we know being together as much as possible will be a huge encouragement. The Canada Equip will look different for each partnering church this year as restrictions vary from province to province so please look to your local NCMI church leadership team for direction on how you will meet together and partner with other churches in your region.

We’re excited to see what God has for us this year!

You can register for the Canada Equip with Revolution Church, West Vancouver, here at https://rsvp.church/r/Q9iHfdyr.

For more information, visit the Canada Equip website at https://www.canadaequip.ca. Sessions will also be posted here after the weekend is over.

Exciting News! We’re Moving!

Lisa Russell

We are excited to announce a significant shift for Revolution Church. Over the course of the last year, we have been prayerfully considering what things will look like for Revolution Church on the other side of Covid. One of the areas of consideration and prayer has been where we will meet. We have been so blessed with the facilities we have had to date. Starting 10 years ago at St. Monica’s and then moving to the Gleneagles Clubhouse, with the added bonus of having the Hub and Studio space, God has provided abundantly every step of the way. In like manner, God is now shifting us again, expanding our influence and our embrace to reach further and farther into West Vancouver and the other neighbouring communities on the NorthShore and downtown Vancouver. Through a series of God moments and lots of prayer and consultation, we are excited to announce that, as of August 1st, we will be meeting at the Park Royal Cineplex Theatres for Sunday mornings. We realize that this will be a significant change from what we have been used to, but so many things have changed during Covid, and we are excited about following God in the adventure. The theatre space is exceptional, the acoustics amazing, and the location very central. We believe God is bringing us into a season of growth and expansion. We look forward to worshipping with all of you in our new space shortly. Please pray for us as we prepare our launch and also prepare yourself to step in and step up as partners in the coming harvest.

If you are new to Revolution Church and would like to be part of the volunteer team moving into this new space and season, please send us a note info@revolutionvancouver.com. We would love to sit down and chat with you. And we welcome our new guests to visit us at our 10am services, starting August 1st.

In-person Outdoor Services Starting Sunday, April 18th

Lisa Russell

BC has reintroduced religious services of up to 50 people outside. Revolution Church will begin to meet outside weekly with one service Sunday 10am. Our online service continue to be live-streamed on Youtube and Facebook Live from our in-person service at 10am.

Here is what you need to know about Sunday mornings moving forward:

  • Starting April 18th and weather permitting, weekly Sunday morning outdoor service at 10am. (We can only host 50 registered adults. Revolution Kids will have their own registration and service upstairs in the Hub);
  • We will continue to Livestream on Youtube and Facebook live for those who cannot come or choose not to come. Please note, however, there may be some changes in the quality of the stream, given that we are not allowed amplification and that we will no longer be filming in the Studio.
  • We will open registration up on Wednesday AM.  Please do not register unless you know that you will be there. With limited spaces, every seat counts and we cannot afford “no-shows.” Waitlisted individuals will be contacted Saturday if there are any cancellations. If we consistently have a waitlist we will consider rotating groups every other Sunday so that individuals can at least attend two in-person Sundays a month.
  • The Provincial Order regarding outdoor religious gatherings can be read here. We will be complying with the following instructions:
    • Seating will be socially distanced (no hugging,shaking hands, etc.);
    • Participants will be required to wear masks;
    • Hand sanitizer will be provided;
    • Stay home if you are sick or experiencing Covid like symptoms;
    • Registration will be capped at 50.
  • Please park in the exterior parking spaces on the side and in behind the main building. There is also extra parking on Marine Drive.

We are so looking forward to being together in-person again. You can register here https://rsvp.church/r/Q9iHfdyr for this coming Sunday. Or email info@revolutionvancouver.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Revolution Kids Easter Egg Hunt

Lisa Russell

This Saturday, April 3rd from 12- 2pm we are so excited to have our Rev kids out for a few fun festivities. Katrina, Jeremy and I are planning and prepping for a few activities:

  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Easter Egg decorating
  • Hotdog lunch

We will be outside for most of these events, so dress your kid(s) appropriately for the weather and in clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.

The health guidelines as they are now state that masks are not mandatory outdoors and kids under 12 years old do not need to wear a mask inside, but please feel free to do what makes you feel comfortable. We will have masks and hand sanitizer available, and will make sure that we are doing our part to keep everyone healthy and safe.

Lastly, seeing we need to purchase supplies for Saturday, please RSVP by the latest Wednesday, March 31st @ 12pm.

Please free to email me n.dahl@outlook.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,
Nikki and Jeremy
