What to Expect
Our desire is to be a community where people are comfortable to be themselves; to find and worship God freely and authentically.
Come as you are
There is no dress code or membership required. Come as you are and you will see that we are just a bunch of people who want to meet with God in a real way. Our desire is to be a community where people are comfortable to be themselves; to find and worship God freely and authentically.
We regularly preach from God’s word, the Bible. We believe that the Bible is as vital and relevant now as it has ever been. We are convinced that faith in the word of God has the power to save, set free, and equip every person with purpose and success. Because of this, we delight to proclaim God’s word in our meetings and regularly teach from its books. Our lead pastor Nick Russell preaches most weeks, using visual and contemporary aids to bring practical and relatable relevance to the message. There are also many opportunities to hear others within the Revolution Church community in West Vancouver preach as well.
Worship and Prayer
Something special happens when God’s people come together to worship and pray. Worship is central to everything we do. It isn’t always perfect but it is sincere. God is less concerned about professionalism than He is about our hearts.
Often there will be spontaneous prayer or sharing during the worship time. We encourage people to grow in the gifts that God has given them and to express those gifts during the worship time together.
We are blessed to have a vibrant and growing children’s ministry. Our kids love to go to church because they get to be with other kids who love Jesus and also love to play! Children are encouraged to be with their parents during the worship part of the service but, during the teaching, children from toddler to age 12 are invited to be part of the children’s church where they learn how to pray, recognize and listen to God’s voice, and participate in bible stories and crafts. After the service there is plenty of time to play while the adults enjoy coffee and tea.
Personal Prayer and Healing
At the end of every service, we offer personal prayer for any area of need and in particular, for healing. We have seen many answers to prayer in our times together and many testimonies of emotional and physical healing. No request is too small or too great for our loving Father in Heaven.
Coffee and Treats
After the service, we gather in the hall for coffee and treats. You can expect something yummy to eat and good conversation to go with it.
