Resurrection Sunday is perhaps the greatest day of celebration in the Christian calendar. It is the day when we recognize that Jesus Christ has risen from the dead! Current Sermon Series – What are you thinking?

Lisa Russell

Understanding and adopting a Kingdom mindset is essential to living the successful abundant life we have been called to in Jesus Christ. But there is a war between our fleshly earthbound cravings and our spirit’s desires. In this series, Nick Russell takes a closer look at the passage from 1 Timothy 2:1-7 to unpack just what Kingdom thinking looks like and how it is practically worked out in our lives:

Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.

Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules. And hardworking farmers should be the first to enjoy the fruit of their labor.Think about what I am saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things.

Corporate Fast

Lisa Russell

Given the significance and the material of the upcoming Freedom Sessions Conference, the leadership have felt to call a corporate 3 day fast in preparation. Last year we did this as a church as well and it was noted by Ken and the whole church the powerful breakthrough that was intimately tied to that preparation. It would be beneficial to consider and pray how each of you will participate in the fast and what kind of fast you will do. For those interested in the biblical foundation for fasting, please listen to Nick’s message on fasting in preparation for last year’s conference simply titled Fasting.

The actual dates for the fast will be Monday through Wednesday, October 29 – 31st, culminating with corporate prayer on Wednesday night at Nick and Lisa’s house (5418 Greentree Road) for those who are able to attend. Soup will be served after the prayer meeting to break the fast. We do realize that for some of you, Halloween will be a conflict. Please feel free to adjust your commitments around Halloween if you need to.

We have a busy week ahead of us. Thank you to each of you for your support, prayer, and excitement in anticipation and preparation for this important time.

Freedom Sessions with Ken Grenfell

Lisa Russell

We are very excited to be hosting again Ken Grenfell from Restoring the Wells Ministries to minister next Friday and Saturday, November 1st and 2nd. Last year’s conference with Ken was a powerful time and many individuals experienced life changing breakthroughs, healings, and deliverance.  We are very much anticipating another powerful time and are convinced that this will be a strategic and significant time for us as a church body. We are calling this conference Freedom Sessions, Part II, as Ken will continue to build on the foundation laid in the previous conference and equip believers to be ministers of freedom and deliverance themselves. You can review the previous conference online at Revolutionvancouver.com if you want to either refresh or educate yourself on the foundational material before the weekend.

Ken brings years of wisdom and personal experience having led churches and ministered in Africa, Europe and North America. His approach and ministry is Jesus focussed, grace-filled, redemptive and liberating.
